Dr. Block receives Mission Award
MCHC is very proud to announce that Dr. Joel T. Block, Family Practice physician, was selected by Carondelet Health Network as the winner of the 2010 Carondelet Network Mission Award. Nominated by co-workers and by the Carondelet Health Network’s Mission Awards Committee, Dr. Block received the award in the category of physician commitment.
Dr. Block was honored for his well-deserved recognition at the 2010 Associate Recognition Gala and Mission Awards Dinner in Tucson, Arizona. The Senior Vice President of Carondelet Health Network, Jude A. Magers, MSN, MAPT, stated, “Dr. Block, you are an outstanding example of Carondelet’s Mission to heal!” Indeed, Dr. Block’s mission to heal and to serve those in need has been proven ever since he joined Mariposa Community Health Center back on August 3, 1992.
This August, Dr. Block completed his 18th year here at the Mariposa Community Health Center. When asked about his experience at Mariposa, he stated: “It has been very nice working here. The people in Nogales are wonderful to work for. My family and I have enjoyed living in this community very much.” Congratulations Dr. Block!
